The Team
Who We Are

Alicia Jewell
Owner and Master stylist
Alicia started her career at the Aveda Institute Denver 20 years ago. She grew up as a stylist at Twig Salon in Boulder and then opened the first iteration of Wild Poppy in Nederland. She and her husband moved to Lafayette in Winter of 2025 and decided to relocate and grow the business in Downtown Lafayette. She has a passion for making women feel beautiful and listened to. Fine hair is an area where she really excels. She is enjoying growing the Wild Poppy team and becoming more of a part of the Old Town Lafayette business community. When she is not at work, she is gardening, crafting, working on restoring her 100 year old house, or playing with her zoo of animals. With 3 cats and 3 dogs, there is never a dull moment!

Cielle Kovac
Master Stylist
Cielle (pronounced C L ) began her career at The Academy of Cosmetology Arts in Denver 11 years ago. She has been mentored by some of the best stylists in the Boulder and Denver area and is a true joy to have at Wild Poppy. She has worked from Boulder, back to Louisville, KY and now has made her salon home in Lafayette! She has a passion for bringing out the beauty in everyone's natural texture and face shape. Cielle is our resident curly hair specialist. She is a delight to be around and it is a treat to spend time in her chair. When she isn't crafting gorgeous hair, she can be found with her mini dachshunds, Anne Shirley and Diana Berry, painting watercolors of the mountains, going to yoga, and spending time with her family.

Franchesca Carrillo
Master Stylist
Franchesca has been behind the Chair for 25 years and feels more passionate about the industry than ever. Her continued training in custom haircuts and complex color matched with her experience and consistency make for a positive experience every time. She has a genuine love of making people look and feel amazing. Her work extends beyond her talent behind the chair. She provides a joyful appointment for every client. When she isn't working with hair, she can be found cuddling with her fur babies, getting lost in a historical documentary, hiking, or wandering through a cozy bookstore.
